Mr. Constable holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation
The American Society of Appraisers is a nonprofit organization of individuals that was formed in 1936 to establish an effective professional affiliation of appraisers of all disciplines, working cooperatively to elevate the standards of the appraisal profession.
The Society offers the Accredited Member (AM) and Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designations to its members who meet the following criteria:

  • Four year college degree or equivalent.
  • Verified appraisal experience; Minimum 5,000 hours for the Accredited Member designation (AM), or 10,000 hours for the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation (ASA).
  • Four separate, twenty-seven-hour Society training courses in business valuation theory and the completion of a fifteen-hour course on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) of The Appraisal Foundation.
  • Five separate examinations covering business valuation theory and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
  • An examination on the Society's Code of Ethics.
  • Peer review and approval by the Society's International Board of Examiners of actual business valuation/ appraisal work prepared for clients.

Members who have achieved ASA accreditation must continue to demonstrate professional growth in order to maintain their status. ASA's mandatory reaccreditation process requires members to participate in continuing education programs, ensuring that ASA appraisers keep their knowledge up to date.
